WORSHIP ARTS
Led by Betsy Wooster, Director of Children and Family Ministries. Each week will include a worship arts segment for children together in their choir groups.

Thanks to a grant from the Fairmount Women’s Guild, an organization dedicated to supporting ministries for women and children at FPC, Eve Sliwinski will direct a new Kindergarten - First Grade choir, introduce our young “M&Mers” to hand chimes and Orff (rhythm) instruments, and lead singing in our preschool Church School class on Sunday mornings. We are grateful for the support from the Women’s Guild, which allows us to add another children’s choir to the current program.  Bob will continue overseeing the entire children’s music program, directing both Jubilate and Cantate choirs, as always.  In addition to the musical elements in M&Ms!, Betsy Wooster will lead a weekly worship and arts segment with all the age groups.  We will celebrate the natural creativity and imagination of children by exploring faith stories and worship leadership through the arts.  The arts offer a way to expand our teaching and understanding of the language of faith and invite us into God’s very presence.   Overall, the M&Ms! ministry for kindergarten to sixth grade students is intended to deepen children’s connection to God through the power of music, the arts and worship leadership.

Watch for more information over the summer for complete details on start date, scheduling and registration for M&Ms!  We are already busy planning for this exciting Music and Ministry program for children at Fairmount Church.
